Maruti Brezza Facelift Leaked Ahead Of Launch; Turbo Petrol Variant Spotted

Maruti Suzuki's updated Brezza facelift has surfaced online ahead of its official launch, giving buyers their clearest look yet at the refreshed compact SUV. The latest images, reportedly captured at a dealer stockyard, showcase the exterior styling updates, feature additions and what is believed to be the new turbo-petrol variant. The leaked SUV appears to be the top-spec ZXi+ variant, expected to be powered by Maruti Suzuki's new 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine. At the front, the Brezza receives a revised chrome-finished grille, redesigned twin-pod LED headlamps and a more aggressive bumper with triangular fog lamp housings. The images also confirm the presence of front parking sensors, silver skid plates and newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels. Inside, the Brezza facelift is expected to get a noticeable technology upgrade. A larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system is likely to support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while the cabin also features a redesigned climate control panel, wireless smartphone charger and ventilated front seats. These additions are expected to make the Brezza more competitive against newer rivals. Under the bonnet, the biggest talking point is the introduction of the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Maruti Suzuki is also expected to continue offering the familiar 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated petrol engine with manual and automatic transmission options. A factory-fitted CNG variant will remain part of the lineup for buyers prioritising fuel efficiency. With the latest updates, the Brezza aims to strengthen its position in the highly competitive compact SUV segment, where it rivals the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Kia Syros and Toyota Taisor.
