Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric Launch Set for April 24
Mercedes-Benz will launch the all-new CLA Electric in India on April 24 with up to 792 km claimed range.

Mercedes-Benz has officially confirmed that the new CLA Electric will be launched in India on April 24, marking a significant step in the brand’s EV expansion strategy. The CLA Electric will be offered in two variants: CLA 200 ‘Standard Range’ and CLA 250+ ‘Long Range’. Bookings for the model opened on March 10, with customers able to reserve the vehicle by paying a token amount of Rs 1.50 lakh. As an added benefit, early customers who pre-book the vehicle will receive a complimentary Wall Box charger, enhancing the ownership experience from day one. Deliveries of the CLA 250+ variant are scheduled to begin in April. Built on the new Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA), the CLA Electric features an advanced 800-volt electrical system, enabling faster charging and improved efficiency. The CLA 250+ variant is equipped with an 85 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of up to 792 km, making it one of the longest-range EVs in its segment. Meanwhile, the CLA 200 variant delivers a claimed range of 542 km, catering to buyers seeking a more accessible option. Both variants will be offered with the same equipment levels. The CLA 200 will feature the ‘Progressive Line’ styling, which includes comfort seats, a multifunction sports leather steering wheel, and a choice of two interior trims. With its combination of long range, advanced architecture, and premium features, the CLA Electric is expected to be a strong contender in India’s growing luxury EV segment.
