Mercedes-Benz has officially launched the new GLE and GLS Night Editions in India. The limited-production luxury SUVs are being offered with exclusive styling elements, premium interior upgrades and additional features over the standard versions.

The Night Edition lineup is based on specially configured variants of the GLE and GLS and features cosmetic enhancements aimed at giving both SUVs a more premium and sporty appearance.
Mercedes-Benz is offering the Night Edition models in exclusive exterior shades including Obsidian Black and Alpine Grey. Inside the cabin, both SUVs get black Nappa leather upholstery along with Anthracite open-pore oak wood trim for a more luxurious interior ambience.
One of the major highlights of the Night Edition package is the addition of extra features that are not standard on the regular variants. Both SUVs now come equipped with a head-up display as standard equipment.
The GLE Night Edition additionally receives air suspension, which is otherwise unavailable on the standard GLE lineup sold in India.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE Night Edition is available with two engine choices. The GLE 300d 4MATIC uses a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 266 BHP and 550 Nm of torque.
The more powerful GLE 450 4MATIC is powered by a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 375 BHP and 500 Nm of torque.
The larger GLS Night Edition is also offered with two powertrain options. The GLS 450 4MATIC uses the same 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 375 BHP and 500 Nm.
Meanwhile, the GLS 450d 4MATIC gets a 3.0-litre diesel engine generating 362 BHP and a massive 750 Nm of torque.
All engine options across the GLE and GLS Night Edition range are paired with Mercedes-Benz’s 9-speed automatic transmission along with the brand’s 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.
