TATA.ev and Shell launch 21 Mega Charging Hubs across India
TATA.ev has partnered with Shell to roll out 21 new 120 kW Mega Charging Hubs across key cities and highway corridors in India.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.’s EV arm, TATA.ev, has partnered with Shell India to launch 21 new TATA.ev x Shell Mega Charging Hubs across Bengaluru, Chennai, Mysore, Pune and Vadodara. The initiative aims to strengthen India’s public charging network with faster, more reliable infrastructure.
Each Mega Charging Hub is equipped with 120 kW DC fast chargers and multiple charging bays to reduce wait times and improve throughput. The hubs are strategically located along major highway corridors and high-traffic urban hotspots, supporting both daily commutes and long-distance EV travel.
Beyond charging, the hubs promise a premium experience, featuring on-ground marshals to assist customers, access to Shell Select and Deli2go outlets for food and beverages, and clean restrooms. Tata EV owners will also receive curated offers at these locations and can avail up to 25% discount on charging tariffs.
With this rollout, the TATA.ev Mega Charging Hub network now exceeds 130 operational sites nationwide. Under its ‘Open Collaboration 2.0’ framework, TATA.ev plans to expand India’s charging ecosystem to over 400,000 charging points, including 500 Mega Charging Hubs by 2027.
The partnership reflects both companies’ commitment to accelerating EV adoption by making public charging more accessible, dependable and customer-friendly across India.
